I have overheard church folk ask and state the following, “What does God want me to do?” and “I am here for a purpose.” From my standpoint as a pastor for over 40 years, I have observed, reflected, and have learned that leadership is what we have been called to be and do. Not leadership as a position, but as an approach to life, whatever role or sphere, group or organizational context, leadership is more about being productive than holding a position. The Bible’s David exhibited a pre-king profile for leadership that provides an example that answers this blog’s query–What is YOUR calling in this life? If you use my website CONTACT US page to make your request, I will send you (via email) those profile characteristics.
How do you respond to this question and or the query and statement from church folk?
