Until seminary, God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost/ Spirit were the “names” of God. During my seminary matriculation, I learned about Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek languages. Thus, language became my focus for understanding the semantic meanings of biblical words, even the names of God in diverse contexts. Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, Yahweh-Jireh/Rapha/Nissi/M’kaddesh/Shalom/Tsidkenu/Rohi/Shammah/Sabaoth/Elohim are a few of the names of God I learned about since seminary.
